How to prepare for the update

To update your LARDIS:ONE software to the latest version, you need:

Windows 10/11 computer with free USB port and Internet access

WLAN_USB

Connection to your computer via WIFI or USB

HOW TO RUN THE LARDIS:ONE SETUP

  • Click the LARDIS:ONE Install 2.xx button to download the installation wizard.
  • Start the installation wizard "LARDIS-ONE 2.x Install.exe" from your download directory (usually under C:\user\username\downloads).
  • When asked by Windows, please confirm any security warning. Windows may also open a blue window with the text "Windows protected your PC". In this case please click on "More info" and then click on "Run anyway".
  • The installation wizard will guide you through the installation of LARDIS:ONE Setup.
  • After the installation is complete, you will find the LARDIS-One 2.x Setup.exe in your Windows Start menu along with a Documentation folder containing the associated manuals.

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR LARDIS:ONE

  • Make sure that the device battery of your LARDIS:ONE is charged.
  • Connect your LARDIS:ONE to your PC using WIFI or the included USB cable. (For GARMIN hardware: Use the USB connector directly at the control unit, not the one at the magnetic base.)
  • Turn on your LARDIS:ONE.
  • Start the program "LARDIS-One 2.x Setup.exe". (Directly in the directory chosen during installation, or via the entry in the start menu or by using a desktop shortcut.)
  • When asked by Windows, please confirm any security warning. Windows may also open a blue window with the text "Windows protected your PC". In this case please click on "More info" and then click on "Run anyway".
  • After start-up LARDIS:ONE Setup searches for the control panel. If it is not found after a short waiting time, please check if the LARDIS:ONE control panel is switched on and connected to your PC via WIFI or USB cable.
  • Only under Windows 7/8: These may require an additional driver installation, see appendix in the configuration manual.
  • After the control panel has been found and if a newer software version is available, you will be offered an update. Click on "Update" to update the firmware. Wait until the update is complete and do not disconnect during this time. (If your device has not been licensed yet, it is necessary to install a license before an update. To do this, click on the license button and then under "Online activation" on "Activate". This requires an Internet connection).
  • With a click on "Configure" you can configure your device.
